Pink Friday's a day late!
1. The Portrait of a Lady by Henry James 2. The Little Pink Book of Elegance: The Modern Girl's Guide to Living With Style 3. Valley of the Dolls by Jacqueline Susann
The ladies and I have finally managed to get our act together and set up a book club. Hoorah!
Our first meeting will take place this Sunday where we'll be discussing the finer details like how often we'll meet, how we'll choose the titles and all that jazz. The founding members and I have decided which book we're going to read first just to get the ol' ball rolling.
It may not be the most obvious choice for a book club (or the cheeriest read!) but it's a classic and it's the book most of us already own. Are you sitting at the edge of your seat yet?
We'll be reading Ernest Hemingway's 'A Farewell To Arms'.
In honour of this momentous occasion I've chosen some pretty cute pink books for Pink Friday. Click through their captions to find out how you can buy these gorgeous editions.
Have you read 'A Farewell to Arms'? What did you think??
book club sounds like a fabulous idea! You'll have to take it virtual next... somehow! I haven't read "A farewell to arms" though just read the blurb and may add it to my reading list.
ReplyDeleteHope you're having a lovely weekend so far!
ps. I always dream (particularly when comparing my 500 square foot apartment in NYC to anything in Perth!)
This is very cute! I definitely should be reading more. In today's world, what with the internet and cable, it can be sooo difficult to just sit down and read a book.
